They will see us waving from such great heights

So I don't ever really tap in to the person I used to be. But there is a time for everything. And I used to be particularly talented at some things that could be of use these days.
  1. Making friends
  2. Getting the guy
  3. Being confident (sometimes too much so)
On the wall over my desk I taped a piece of paper. I look at this paper about a hundred times a day. Eventually I will believe what is written on it. The paper reminds me "IT'S NOT PERSONAL!! STOP WORRYING" in big blue letters. Although the words have saved many a brain cell, their presence makes me feel like a mental patient.

See? Oh a great song just came on my iTunes! While My Guitar Gently Weeps by The Beatles. Simply amazing. I would put the song on here if I knew how to. But here's a link to the video on YouTube.

Next from the speakers is Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah. Dang he's good.

Oh check this picture out! I recently moved to a different dorm, so I borrowed some tubs to pack in. I found this caution sticker on one of them and just couldn't resist taking a picture.

Some sad person has actually tried shutting their baby in these!! I understand getting tired and annoyed by a baby, but stowing your child away is not the answer people. So please refrain.

Moonlight???

CBS CANCELED MOONLIGHT!!!!! I am so angry! I think it was a really stupid move for CBS. Now that Twilight has made vampire media a huge hit, Moonlight's ratings would majorly increase.

Good morning!

It's Friday!! This weekend is going to be crazy! I'm switching dorms tomorrow! The dorm i'm in right now is in like a different zip code than the rest of school. And the seasons are changing. It will be way too hot outside for me to be so far away. Seriously I need to move to Antarctica. Do people even live there?

Oh I just saw the Oreo commercial with the two little girls! It makes me heartsick for China every time. :'(

Between the Lines

I recently picked up (actually I downloaded it from the library) a book called Freakonomics:  A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything by Steven Levitt & Stephen Dubner.  I barely ever read non-fiction.  It requires an attention span longer than 10 minutes.  As it were, I only read about half of this book--a terrible habit that's very VERY hard to break.  Anyways this book was interesting.  While reading I wrote down some of the facts given.  I could cite this perfectly for you, but no one here is critiquing me.
  • In a typical election period that includes campaignes for the presidency, the Senate, and the House of Representatives, about $1 billion dollars is spent per year.  This is the same amout that Americans spend every year on chewing gum.
  • Theft is increased 15% over the week of Christmas, which coincedentally is the holiday workers get the most days off.  Is this because the lack of workers convinces criminals they won't get caught?  Or does the time off give workers more opportunities to commit a crime?  Chicken or egg...
  • President Harding was a member of the Ku Klux Klan.
So there you have it.  Read the last half and let me know how it goes.  So I wonder if good ole Harding University was named after the man himself.  It would definately explain a few things...

I moved on to a favorite of mine called Austenland by Shannon Hale.  This was the 3rd time I think.  It is just the cutest story!  Eventually i'll actually buy the book instead of repeatedly renting it.  So good!

Sleep

Wednesday is over now.  I have done absolutely nothing this week.  Seriously.  I have slept til past lunchtime every day this week.  Sounds great, right?  No-- I wake up and feel like crap the rest of the day.  Maybe if tomorrow is...productive...i'll feel better.  Hopefully.  I just need to get some of my homework done.

first day on spring break

Okay first of all, I can't believe Ashley saw Melissa at Target!  It's way too easy to forget that the people on tv are real people living real lives.

On that note, i'm now facebook friends with Colin from the show Make Me a Supermodel!  Which is crazy exciting!

Tonight I created an account on Twitter...  I'm not sure exactly what to do with it.  So let me know if you have one or have any idea what they're for.

It's spring break!  I'm at home relaxing with my family  =D  When i'm at school I miss being here at home.  But when i'm home I miss being in London.  I guess it's just going to be that way for a while.

Things I learned while going through my magazines:

  1. Kissing burns 26 calories a minute.  (Glamour)
  2. Angelina Jolie's last name means "pretty" in French.
  3. Most Americans believe adulthood begins at age 26.
  4. Madonna and Michael Jackson went to the 1991 Oscars together.
  5. As of September 2008, more than 300 people have died after being shocked by police Tasers.
